HCA (Health Care Assistants)

Health Care Assistants play an important role in general practice. They provide valuable assistance to GPs and Practice Nurses. All the HCAs at the Practice are trained to take blood samples, and are qualified to NVQ Level 3. Our HCAs also carry out ECGs, wound care management, some injections (including flu and pneumonia vaccinations and B12 injections). They also conduct annual health checks and blood pressure monitoring and check urine samples.
