Respiratory Infections and Visiting the Practice
As we continue to see cases of COVID-19 and other respiratory infections circulating in the community, we would like to remind patients to help us protect vulnerable patients and staff when attending the Practice.
If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as a cough, high temperature, sore throat, flu-like symptoms, or feel generally unwell, please contact us by telephone or through our online consultation system before attending the Practice.
Where a face-to-face appointment is clinically necessary, we may ask you to:
- Wear a face covering.
- Use hand sanitiser on arrival.
- Wait in a designated area or outside until called.
- Attend at a specific time.
- Avoid bringing additional people unless they are essential to support your care.
Please be assured that we will continue to provide care for patients with COVID-19 and other respiratory infections. These arrangements simply help us reduce the risk of infection to other patients, particularly those who are elderly, clinically vulnerable, or attending for treatment.
If you are unsure whether you should attend an appointment, please contact the Practice for advice before travelling.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep our Practice safe for everyone.
